  • Before your aesthetics appointment you should contact us with any specific questions on the treatment or procedure, schedule a consultation, and follow any pre-appointment instructions provided to you.

    During your aesthetics appointment, you can expect to be greeted by a member of our team, have the treatment area prepared, undergo the procedure or treatment, and maintain open communication throughout the process.

    After your aesthetics appointment, you will receive post-treatment care instructions, timeline for a recovery period, schedule any necessary follow-up appointments, and maintain the results with recommended care and lifestyle adjustments.

    Q2: Do I need a consultation before receiving treatment? Yes, we highly recommend scheduling a complimentary consultation before any aesthetic treatment. During the consultation, we will assess your specific concerns, discuss your goals, and recommend the most suitable treatment plan for you.

  • Q1: What are dermal fillers? Dermal fillers are injectable gels that add volume and restore facial contours. They are used to address wrinkles, lines, and loss of volume in areas such as the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, and jawline.

    Q2: What are dermal fillers made of? Dermal fillers can be made of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA fillers are known for their safety and natural-looking results.

    Q3: How long do dermal fillers last? The longevity of dermal fillers depends on the type of filler used. HA fillers typically last between six months to two years, depending on the specific product and treatment area.

  • Pre-Treatment Instructions

    • This treatment is not recommended if you have an important event within 4 weeks of injection due to potential for bruising and swelling. 

    • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to treatment as it may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising.

    • Discontinue any products containing retinal 2 days before treatment. 

    • If you do not feel well, have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the treatment area please reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. 

    • If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores. Please let us know so you can be prescribed antiviral medication prior to treatment. 

    • Avoid dental procedures (including cleanings) and vaccinations 4 weeks pre-treatment and post-treatment.

        Avoid the following for up to 1 week prior to and post injection: 

    • Aspirin, 

    • NSAIDS (Ibuprofen) 

    • Ginko Biloba

    • Garlic Supplements 

    • Green Tea 

    • Flax Oil 

    • Cod Liver Oil 

    • Vitamins A and E

    • Essential fatty acids

    Post Treatment instructions 

    • Tylenol is recommended for pain relief.

    • Do not touch, rub, or manipulate areas for the first 24 hours following treatment. Lumps in the injected area are normal and typically dissipate over the next several weeks. 

    • Continue to ice or use cool compresses without pressing on the injected areas for the first 48 hours as recommended by your practitioner.

    • Sleep with head elevated for the first 1-2 nights depending on level of swelling and bruising.

    • Avoid vigorous exercise and heat for 3 days. It is best to avoid make-up for the first 24 hours.

    • Bruising in the area injected is normal and expected, especially if treated around the eyes. Bruising usually lasts one week but can last up to several weeks. 

    • Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 days (Retin-A, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, etc). Perform a test spot prior to using these products by applying a small amount to the treated area, if there is any irritation, remove product and perform another spot test in 24-48 hours. Resume products when there is no sense of irritation.

    • Avoid intense heat (sunbathing, sauna) or extreme cold for the first 2 weeks to avoid further inflammation to the area.

    • Touch-ups may be done in 4-6 weeks if needed.

    • Avoid laser, IPL or skin tightening treatments of the area for at least 2-3 weeks, especially treatments that create heat in the dermis. Radio Frequency skin tightening treatments that treat deeper levels of dermal tissue are not recommended in the injected area post treatment for 3 months. 

    • Avoid dental procedures (including cleanings) and vaccinations 4 weeks pre-treatment and post-treatment.
