How Does Sculptra® Work?
Sculptra, is made of a biocompatible material and works by harnessing the power of poly-L-lactic acid to naturally stimulate collagen production in the skin. Unlike traditional fillers that provide immediate volume, Sculptra focuses on gradual, long-term enhancement. During treatment, Sculptra is skillfully injected into targeted areas, promoting collagen synthesis over time. This process results in a subtle, yet remarkable, improvement in facial contours, skin elasticity, and overall texture. As collagen production increases, so does the restoration of lost volume, helping to diminish wrinkles and fine lines. Sculptra's unique approach not only delivers natural-looking results but also fosters a rejuvenated appearance that evolves gracefully over several months.

Be prepared to openly discuss any medications, allergies, or medical conditions you have.
Discontinue Blood-Thinning Medications and Supplements:
If approved by your healthcare provider, avoid blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain herbal supplements) for a specified period before the treatment. Always consult with your healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication regimen.
Sun Protection:
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF on the treated area in the days leading up to the procedure.
Avoid excessive sun exposure, as sunburned or irritated skin may not be suitable for treatment.

Follow your regular skincare routine leading up to the treatment.
Avoid using retinoids or other active ingredients on the treatment area for a few days before the procedure, as advised by your healthcare provider.

Post-Treatment Instructions
Massage the Treated Area:
Gently massage the treated area(s) 5 times a day for 5 minutes for 5 days. This helps evenly distribute the product and minimize the risk of nodules or lumps. Follow the recommended massage technique provided during your appointment.
Stay Upright:
Avoid lying down or sleeping on your face for the first few nights following the treatment. This precaution helps prevent uneven distribution of the product.
Avoid Strenuous Exercise:
Refrain from engaging in strenuous physical activities, including heavy lifting and intense workouts, for the first 24 to 48 hours post-treatment. Exercise increases blood flow, which could potentially lead to migration of the product.
Apply Ice Packs:
Use ice packs wrapped in a cloth to reduce swelling and minimize bruising. Apply the ice packs for short intervals as needed during the first 24 hours after the procedure.
Avoid Sun Exposure:
Protect your treated skin from direct sunlight and UV radiation. If you need to go outside, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF. This precaution is essential for the first few days after treatment.
Limit Alcohol Consumption:
Minimize alcohol intake for the first few days after the procedure, as excessive alcohol consumption can contribute to swelling and bruising.
Follow Up:
Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments with your healthcare provider. These appointments are crucial for assessing your progress and addressing any questions or concerns you may have.
Be Patient:
Results from Sculptra® are not immediate. Collagen production takes time, and you may notice gradual improvement over several weeks to months. Be patient and trust the process.
